3. Put it on your phone
Open the app's link on your phone and add it to your home screen, on iPhone or Android.
Open the app’s link on your phone. Until it’s installed, the link opens on an install screen with the steps for your phone.
- iPhone: Open the link in Safari, or straight from the Claude or ChatGPT app, with no need to switch to Safari. Tap Share (the square with an arrow; in the Claude or ChatGPT app it may be under •••), then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Android: Open the link in Chrome. Tap Install on the install screen, or open the ⋮ menu and tap Install app or Add to home screen.
- On a computer: the install screen asks you to open the link on your phone instead.
The install screen shows the app’s icon and name, the steps, a button to use it in the browser for now, and a link to report the app. It doesn’t appear once you open the app from your home screen.
From your home screen the app opens full screen, under its own name, with its own icon on a colour of its own: a picture your assistant picked from a fixed set, or the first letter of its name. A phone that already added the app may keep the icon it had until the app is added to the home screen again. It keeps a copy of itself on your phone, so it opens and works the same with no connection.
